Lespedeza bicolor
Bush clover or Japanese clover "Vishnevy Kaskad"
Perennial. Winter-hardy, fast-growing subshrub. Plant height up to 1.8 m.
Lespedeza bicolor - an original decoration for any garden or park in the autumn! This plant is attractive to gardeners for its late, abundant and long flowering in a period when most plants have already faded.
Beautiful, branched deciduous shrub/semi-shrub up to 2 m in height, with numerous green shoots forming a rounded crown.
The leaves are trifoliate, thin, delicate, on long petioles: dark green in summer, and in autumn they turn golden yellow, pale reddish-brown, reddish tones, beige or sandy below.
Lespedets blooms regularly and very abundantly with raspberry-red, sometimes white flowers, which, when fading, take on a blue color and remain on the bushes for a long time.
This is an excellent ornamental shrub for creating hedges in parks and gardens, which is effective in both single and group planting.
Agricultural technology.
Lespedeza is a photophilous plant, but can tolerate a little shading. This plant is undemanding to the soil, however, it develops poorly on dry soils.
Before sowing, the seeds should be poured with hot (+65 ° C) water and left to soak for a day.
Seedlings are planted in the ground after spring frosts, allocating a feeding area for each plant of 0.6-1.5 m².
Further care is regular watering and fertilizing.
